Payout operations / monitoring
Watch where the customer promise is unfinished
Monitoring should show which promotional payouts are progressing, which need attention, and what the team can learn. Counting card activity alone does not establish that the campaign achieved its business objective.
Choose measures with clear meanings
Use a consistent group of eligible purchases and a defined observation period. Only report recipient events for which reliable information is available.
| Measure | Interpretation |
|---|---|
| Decision completion | Resolved decisions compared with purchases considered. |
| Recipient handoff completion | Confirmed delivery-stage completion compared with eligible payouts. |
| Unresolved cases | Cases still needing action, grouped by stage and age. |
| Support themes | Recurring purchase, qualification, delivery, or use questions. |
| Commercial outcome | The campaign's separate objective, interpreted in its trading context. |
Turn a signal into a decision
A rise in missing-message questions may call for clearer delivery communication. A rise in qualification questions may point to an unclear storefront offer. Investigate the relevant stage instead of treating every support increase as a card problem.
Avoid the easy but misleading conclusion
High delivery completion does not prove incremental sales, and low reported use is not a success objective. Review successful receipt, customer effort, and business results separately. Seasonality, other promotions, and differences between participating and non-participating customers can affect interpretation.
Plan for clear delivery
Plan a clear path from purchase to promotional payout.
Discuss the offer, customer expectations and the next program decision.
