Payout programs / campaign planning
Put the offer and the delivery plan in one brief
A campaign brief makes the promise, the decision process, and the recipient's next step consistent. Use it before the offer appears in a Shopify storefront.
Complete the campaign brief
Use the following fields as a working structure. Describe the intended program without including customer records or sensitive account information.
| Brief field | What to record |
|---|---|
| Purpose | Primary commercial objective and intended customer group. |
| Qualifying purchase | Products or collections, period, and material offer conditions. |
| Decision | When qualification can be assessed and who owns the result. |
| Recipient experience | Expected notification, required action, and where terms are found. |
| Order changes | How the agreed offer addresses edits, cancellations, and returns. |
| Support | Owner for order, promotion, delivery, and card-use questions. |
| Measurement | Completion measures, business outcome, and observation period. |
Walk through the uncertain moments
Consider a customer who changes an order before review, another waiting for a decision, and another who cannot find the delivery message. The brief should identify the next responsible action for each. It does not need technical details to make responsibility clear.
Align the team before launch
The people managing the Shopify offer and the people answering customer questions need the same current terms. Confirm that delivery descriptions and card references match the specific program. Set a clear review point for learning from completion and support records, without promising that a successful handoff produces additional sales.
Plan for clear delivery
Plan a clear path from purchase to promotional payout.
Discuss the offer, customer expectations and the next program decision.
